Hello, my name is Heather and I'm a Wild Dreamer...

And so it begins. Original, don't you think? Beginning something by telling you it's the beginning? But what if it were really the end and you just thought it was the beginning? I have you thinking now, don't I?

Well, rest assured, this is a Beginning. However, it is also an End. It is the end of how I am today. It is an end of the anxiety prompted mass eatings, the scarfing down of endless piles of mashed potatoes just because they taste good, and pushing off the fact that I really am overweight out of my mind. That is the end. The beginning is much like a new life I am beginning. This new life is the beginning of my new lifestyle - my healthier lifestyle. I will do my Yoga. I will walk more. I will take the stairs instead of the elevator. I will breathe deeper. I will rest easier. I will much happier.

This is the beginning.

This is where I'm supposed to tell you what I do, so here you go: I laugh. My kids have fur (two purr, two bark). My husband is my best friend. I write endlessly. I draw whenever I have a writing utensil and a blank (or not so blank) piece of paper. I am a professional photographer. I am a friend to all and an enemy to none. I believe laughter really is the best medicine (unless you have pneumonia...then it's just cruel). I believe that art is a universal language. I believe that you are a great person (yeah...YOU!) because you are reading my Blog and thus supporting me in this grand adventure of life. I believe that life isn't supposed to be easy. I believe that life's road blocks only make you stronger. I believe the power of prayer is all encompassing. I believe without family you have nothing. I believe that friends can be your family. I believe that there is hope for human kind. I believe in living your dreams. I believe in the power of a smile. I believe in never giving up. I believe in faith. I believe in friendship. I believe in love. I believe in hope. I believe in grace. I believe in forgiveness.

This is the end of the past. This is the beginning of the future.
